I was in a dance group when I was 15 -18 we did high kick routines, my legs are 32 inch so at 53 ,I probably could , haha

Irish dancing, Choux. Can't do that if you can't high kick. Must admit I've not tried it of late. If I'm not around tomorrow you'll know I'm at the chiropractor.

Me too, Bobbi. A reel, one or two hand is my limit now. And still with the stiff arms because I grew up when priests would clout you if you moved your arms. Thank god for Riverdance!

When I was 53? Top of Head height - I was an athletics coach as well as a teacher and qualified to coach High Jump to International Level. Coaching mobility etc. kept me very mobile. Even with 2 replacement hips now (in my 70s) I can reach chest height.

There are a few theories about the stiff arms, Bobbi. The one I go with because I know what priests and nuns were like when I was growing up is that they didn't want boys and girls to hold hands or put their hands near each other. They would sit and watch the dancers and god help any child who moved an arm.
The school my family attended here years ago had two classrooms and two playgrounds well separated. Eventually it was decided to have mixed classes as that would be better for the ages of the children being taught. The local priests and Bishops hit the roof. I have read of the battle that went on as the clergy tried to stop the sexes mixing at school.
You have to laugh when you know what the clergy got up to. My ancestor was a Catholic bishop....his son is a lovely boy. :-)

Oh this one is, Ich....tall and wide. The last one was called Jimmy Hendricks and the one before that was Dylan something. This one is more The Vivienne with less make up....but scary.
Don't think I ever made head height, Jourdain. Despite being short I have very long legs but I'm not going to risk them trying to reach Dave's chest.
