My daughter put the original Wordle on to my desktop as soon as it first was launched so I get it up with one click. I always go into my History to get the New York Times one up. I have just done one of them in three, but can't remember which one now. I even occasionally get them in just two. I am a crossword addict and therefore good at anagrams which is why I find these easy.

Only started doing it near the end of January, and only been caught out once with the American spelling of "humor"

A 4 for me today. My starter word wasn’t much good.

I thought the original and the NYT were the same. My original bookmark forwards to NYT.

I had 3 two line solutions last week, and they always feel like 90% luck.

Like Barry I do Wordle, Octordle and Quordle daily - and one called Globle - excellent for brushing up on your geography.

Did anyone do Friday's Octordle? I've never seen anything like it!!

I am getting more and more on the third attempt these days. Its not just down to luck . It's my first job of the morning. I spend time thinking it out! Actually I have achieved a few on the second line and one on the first line, which was luck and a miracle. It was the first one I attempted!! I've always been fascinated by words and language.

I also do Wordle, but also find Wordmaster Online very good. You can do as many or a few as you want, (not limited to one like Wordle). Also I think it is "english" spelling, at least I haven't come across any americanisms yet!

I prefer Wordmaster.You can play as many times as you like without having to wait a day.

I have a rotating list of starter words. Depending on which one I pick can be the difference between solving on line two or line 4. So a big element of luck.
My stats shows line 3 is when I most often solve it.
