When Matt smith was around I think
About 1974 in my case
Amateurs.
I used to enjoy it in the 60s
Its dire. We've watched the whole series from when it started back up in about 2006 I think. This new series is the worse, and for a house that used to be Dr. Who mad we've decided we are not even going to watch any more episodes, the first one of this new series was so bad. How many times can the doctor save the world? Its pathetic :o(
It's not pathetic, it's the telly.
Not watched the woke tripe for years now. However I do trust Ally Ross who on Friday said " DOCTOR Who did the one thing no self-respecting time traveller should ever do when comedian John Bishop was abducted by dog-like aliens on Sunday night’s Flux episode.

She went to rescue him.""

Haha . The column is in the link but you need to scroll down. Ally Ross, an Independant Scotsman. He makes me laugh.

I think the 70s was the best dr who era then it went downhill with sylvester McCoy. When it came back with Christopher eccleston then David tennant it was really good then downhill again with each successive dr
I've quite enjoyed the last couple of episodes. It's nice to get away from the episodic episodes and have a serial in the style of the good old days.

I have to admit that the experiment of having a female Doctor hasn't worked. Not due to Jodie Whittaker's performance, but to the lacklustre scripts she's been lumbered with.
I haven't bothered with it since Tom Baker and K-9 even though I am a Sci-Fi geek.
I love Ally Ross and his column too Togo. Always spot on with his opinion and really makes me laugh out loud!
I only buy the Sun on Fridays Karamia, for his column. Wicked take on the luvvies every time. He is in Maldova next week so no column. Gawd knows why. :))

The last Leg.
Adam Hills.
"What would be on Rosie Jones's sign at the climate march. ... Send jokes. Urgent.
I saw he was going to be at the match next week. Shall miss his column.
Sorry about losing the plot puzzled54. Didn't mean to capture your thread. Dr Who is now Dr Why.
I loved Jon Pertwee as the doctor when I watched it as a child.
I last watched it in the 60s, but preferred Quatermass from behind the sofa!
I was also behind our sofa!
That was actually in the 50s Jourdain! When did Doctor Who first appear. I never really liked it much. Quatermass was really scarry!!
Quatermass and the Pit is brilliant Pat.

Doctor Who started in 1963, the day after JFK was assassinated.
