Like you, I apologise when I’m wrong. What I find annoying is when someone says that they are sorry that they have upset you for something they have said or done instead of saying sorry for their actions.
Karl, you are right. They appear to be saying sorry but as you say there is no substance to it as they are only sorry that you are upset not sorry for their actions.

Frankly I think it's very easy to say you're sorry. I prefer people not to say and do things that upset others, that they are later sorry for - that's much harder.
It’s not hard if it’s meant, what I find ‘nasty’ are those that join forces without foundation to be horrible , I find these people ‘weak’ its like enemy by association , that to me is unacceptable
