The thread seems to have been closed by a moderator. (If the Ed had closed it there would normally be a 'This thread is now closed' post from the Ed at the end of it).

No, I don't know who did.
No, I don't know why. (I've not read through it all)

Contact the Ed and ask for it to be opened again. She's usually very obliging if the thread's been closed for no good reason.

Ok didn't see any reason it should have been closed, but you obviously did which I accept as your editorial right.
