Not a question, just a note for anyone interested of an excellent documentary tracing the revolutionary beginnings of this world famous work - Pasternak's only novel, twenty years in the writing, and based very much upon his own experiences.

Thanks Naomi - will try to catch that x
would be worth a watch i'm sure, at least we can do catch up. BBC4 always have interesting programmes on, yet i bet its one of the least watched of the BBC's channels.
Unfortunately yes Emmie - wonder how long it will last !
We watch bbc4 regularly. It's usually really good - and has a lot of excellent music programmes.
dont know Rosie, but i hope they keep it, have watched many a music programme of real interest.
Also Storyville and docs - very good.
BBC 1 and 2 programmes have really deteriorated into much the same as the rubbish channels. Such a shame!
Hear hear Nellie !
i have been playing catchup with some films on the BBC, no idea what time they had been on, but watched Lawrence of Arabia, To Catch a Thief, Fred Astaire film
the Sky's the Limit, and some other than i can't recall.
For anyone who might open this, yes the programme was interesting, its amazing he wasn't executed as an enemy of the state. Definitely worth a watch, BBC4 I Player.
