Anybody watching this ? I thought the first episode was a bit Sherlock Holmesy but enjoyable and beautiful to look at. But I shall never remember who's who.

I also remember the film. What's more, i remember enjoying it quite a lot. I lasted just 20 minutes into this first episode before packing it in - and i normally give new series at last 2 episodes. Safe to say, i don't think it holds a candle to the film.

If it is based on Umberto Eco’s book it should be good. The book was excellent

I watched it and really enjoyed it, but it is quite difficult to follow at times because of all the different religious/political factions involved.

We thoroughly enjoyed episode 1 and will be watching the rest. I once caught the end of the film and was intrigued. Yes, Tigger, a bit Cadfael-ish. Shame it's on at the same time as Scarborough, which is fun to watch as I live near there.

I have it on series record and have watched the first two, am totally smitten with it - the stroryline, the acting and the settings.
