Davina McCall is a reasonably popular TV presenter who has chosen to tan and exercise her body so that she looks like a badly packed sandbag - why does this paper make such a deal out of her and her 'fabulous' physique?

They have photos of her wearing fewer clothes. So naturally they have to print it. That's about it, I think :-)
If that's a badly packed sandbag bring on the floodwaters.
She looks absolutely brilliant for 51. Wish I had abs like that !!

Pity that her haggard face doesn't match.
Deary me, Dorian. :-P
The DM picks on anyone - always women - who are happy with their body. If they’re not skinny they’re ‘flaunting their curves’; if they’re slim and toned they’re ‘flaunting their gym body’.

I don’t read the DM but I don’t recall headlines or sidebars of shame upbraiding Daniel Craig for ‘flaunting his pecs’ or David Beckham ‘flaunting his quads’.
I have pointed this out to you before, you really must get out of the habit of searching the Mail in your quest for pictures of scanty clad females.

I'll do a deal with you, I'll stop 'searching the mail in my quest ...' (I didn't is simply flashed up when I was looking at something else) if you stop searching the mail for stories about black people and Muslims.

Ironically, you do have to search for those, even them Mail can't match your daily obsession there.
Oh dear, AOG - you've touched a raw nerve there. I think Andy's wrong-side-out after spatting with Zacs all morning on a different thread.

Not at all - AOG and I have been sparring for years, this is just a normal day on the AB for us.
They know that people like to chat about what they publish on social media.
The Mail will use any excuse to publish women very slightly undressed. But even they can't justify the headline "Average woman in a bikini". So the "story" needs to be either fabulous or horrendous. Horrendous means they are at risk of being seen as body-shaming misogynists lol, so they go with praise. People buy it, click on it, post it... (Andy... lol)

I don't have to search Andy, they are foremost in the news on an almost daily basis, unlike scantly dress females.
Makes a welcome relief from trout pouts and surgically enhanced bottoms. She looks happy and healthy and good for her.

You are absolutely right pix - as usual!!
:-)
If you think she looks like a badly packed sandbag you've never seen a badly packed sandbag. She looks good.

Beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder.

I have always thought Ms. McCall's tedious obsession with her physique, which is tediously passed on by the adoring mail at regular intervals, is somewhat misplaced, but we all have our views, and that's fine.
