What's It Really Worth

Just been watching an episode of Posh Pawnbrokers

There was a statue of an angel
The seller wanted a grand for it
She was offered 10 grand

I wonder what it was really worth
Did any one watch it ?

No. But I guess something is worth whatever someone's prepared to pay for it. May be different to the valuation.

Well if the pawnbroker was willing to offer 10 grand , I should think he was confident in moving it on for a lot more than 10 grand and he did say it would move quickly .
That's what made me wonder what profit he would make on it


It was by a sculptor who was local and it was 1 of 1 piece

They did say that the sculptor had been invited to do a sculptor of Prince Philip

I would imagine that any dealer would be looking for at least a one hundred per cent mark-up, and anything on top would be a bonus.
