If people are on AB they may not be looking at their emails. It's just a tip off, to have a look.

Must be a sad life if AB is more important than e-mails.

We have had this question very recently, got pulled I think. If I am on AB or any other website I can still see if I've got a new email as I get a pop-up and am sure most other people are the same, including if they use a phone - so no good reason for it whatsoever IMO

some folk rarely check their e mail... and depending on your OS you may not get pop ups ! could be something important that needs looking at

When it's not simple is when you may be having a discussion/disagreement with 2 or 3 other people and 1 posts they've sent the other a mail in the middle of the thread. I've seen that on here many a time. Then it is meant to be an up yours gesture.

Yes I agree with SK and sqad ,but is it not the members of the answerbank clique or the last member of a post , who are the most guilty of this.

I just find it a bit silly.

I get irritated with it and I can see dastardly plots being hatched behind the scenes by the cabal. :-)
