Most providers are offering great deals for "NEW" customers. They say it is easy to transfer from one provider to another so as the contract is usually for 12 months is there any reason why people do not change each year and hop from one provider to another? Also, have your readers got Broadband with one Provider and TV with another provider if savings are to to be made or is it best to have one bundle with one provider. . Your views would be welcome on best options.

I threaten to leave Virgin every year when they put the bill up - I tell them how much cheaper I could get a similar level of service from Sky and Virgin always offers me a great deal to stay with them.

If they didn't I would not hesitate to swap providers - after all I change my energy provider at the end of every contract period.
I do the same as hc4361 but the other way round. I.e. Threaten Sky with Virgin. That's for TV only, including Sky Sports. I have my Broadband with BT and threaten them with Sky when I have to renew. Get reasonable rate plus very cheap BT Sport.
Reminds me of when me and the missus had to do this to get a discount with VM:
