Ive posted many times that me and my son have many spats over different things...and he can be a ball ache at the best of times. However, we do have our moments where we can sit and talk about some really deep things.
Last night, after his GF went home, we sat and chatted about things and he asked me what ive learned after 52 yrs on this Earth. Asked him to clarify and he asked just what would I tell myself if I was his age (22) again.
The only answer that sprang immediately to mind was never, ever, judge anyone until you've been in their shoes. So easy to say I know! But one of my life experiences has been never to judge others unless Ive been in their place.

What lessons has life taught you do you think?

For me I would say, stop being so trusting.

Ouch! Prudie, that smarts :o(
Patience and tolerance, though at times it's hard.

Grasp all the wonderful things life offers you and deal with the bad stuff the best you can.

Most importantly be happy being you.
