Not sure if this is the right place to ask but here goes.

If I bought a SKY+ box of ebay with a transponder and fitted it myself would this work or do sky have to do something with my account.

Also is it ok to buy it off ebay its not illegal or anything is it?

You would need to get Sky to tie up your sky card to the sky+box (assuming you have a card). Depending if you subscribe to 2 or more premium channels (i.e. Sky Sports1, Sky Sports2) then you won't have to pay the �10 per month for the Sky + service. Hope this helps.

you need 2 separate feeds from the dish for Sky+ too - one for watching, one for recording.
