After last night's results programme can there be anyone out there who believes the vote isn't being manipulated.I have no axe to grind over anyone who has been eliminated in the dance off but are we expected to believe that people are voting to keep Ed Balls in the show.I believe this is a ploy by the BBC to keep people watching and thus voting thus keeping revenue up by the number of telephone calls made.

I think they have independent adjudicators checking everything to do with phone votes.

In any case, Ed Balls might be more popular than someone like Judge Rinder.
//are we expected to believe that people are voting to keep Ed Balls in the show.//

It's happened before. John Sergeant couldn't dance and left the show of his own volition because people kept voting for him.
I think it's the amusement factor that keeps people voting for him (and you can vote online for free). I must admit he makes me laugh. :-)
Yes, he'll probably leave in a week or two, which is the standard remain time for the 'comedy acts' like Judy Murray, Dave Myers etc. Naga's cause was not helped by her awful blue wig, and unfortunately she did not dance as well in the dance off as she did the first time.
the whole show needs scrapping not surprised the public are amusing themselves this way.
Nooo! It's one of the most popular programmes on television. Why on earth would the BBC scrap it?
and AS for X Factor !! well..shocking !!

I agree about X factor.I see the snivelling Louis Walsh has come out of the woodwork again.
I can't be bothered with X-Factor. The last time I watched it, it was full of sob stories and people kept crying.
I didnt think Naga was all that good anyway - even watching just a few minutes here and there.
Naga was poor but at least she remembered a couple of steps. Ed Balls was as his name suggests!!
Why have professional judges on the programme and then rely on the "numpties on the net" to decide? - nothing to do with the huge phone revenue coming in I suppose?
That ..... and it keeps the viewers interest.

Both are entirely linked to the entertainment value of the programme, and to be honest, no-one involved is pretending this is anything like a serious dance context.

Craig Revel-Horwood consistently gives a professional critique of points based on years of professional experience, and a studio audience who know as much about the finer points dance technique as they do about the dark side of the moon, boo him like he's a pantomime villain!

This same audience whoops and claps every time a couple make a move that is anything other than putting one foot in front of the other - and once again such rapture is not based on the slightest inkling of whether what they have seen is actually any good, or difficult, or worthy of any merit whatsoever.

But that is television. It's entertainment for the family on a Saturday night - there is no point looking for deeper meanings beneath the surface, there aren't any - it's all surface and nothing else!!

Tess Daly is seriously hot though!!!
//boo him [Craig Revel-Horwood] like he's a pantomime villain! //

I've seen him on stage playing a pantomime villain - and very good he was too!
^He has fabulous legs, dahling!!
On no he wasn't!!

(Sorry!)
Haaa! Oh yes he was!!
This could be the beginning of a long debate!
Haaa! Could be .... get this. The best bit was when Len's hologram appeared as the man in the 'Magic Mirror on the Wall'. Great stuff! :o)
If we're talking about hotness of the hosts - as Andy-Hughes did - I think Claudia Winkleman is much more appealing than Tess. I want her shiny hair.
