What's on your menu today.

I had 2 slices if Aldi's malted bloomer bread with 3 rashers of crispy uncooked back and 2 fried eggs. Brown sauce to complete.

I might have some chips and ketchup for supper.

How about you ?

I have been virtuous all week, Sam. No caffeine, dairy, alcohol, meat or fish. Just raw veggies, wholegrains, nuts and seeds. Did make a soup and an aubergine curry towards the end of the week, but all permissable on a detox :)
Sounds pretty tasty to me!
What's "uncooked back"? How did you get it crispy without cooking?!!!!

Well we were having "Fridge pie" - which is essentially minced beef with random stuff out of the fridge topped with cheesy potatoes (its a version of Shepherd's Pie that my grandmother would have a blue fit at). But we ate it all last night.

So now I think it is a toss up between haddock in beer batter and thrice cooked chips (if I can be bothered, and I am working quite hard) or scampi and chips!

Still we do have a rather lush pineapple and strawberry pavlova to scoff for afters.
Ahh, you werent there when I started typing.

Are you trying to give the rest of us a guilt trip?!!!!!!!!!

Haddock and thrice-cookex chips... I'll bring the wine :)
well as I am currently at work (on a lunch break) I had Tesco chicken sandwich, and when I get home it will be what ever comes out of a tin!!

I'm at work too :(
Oh well at least its overtime!
I am also at work - although 99% of the time I can work in the garden under the gazebo ;). I've done 7 12 hour days on the trot so far and I am exhausted.
Ginge has just made cheese, ham and tom toasties. Later I might make beef noodle soup.
Is your's overtime too Barmaid?
Garlic, chilli, ginger pork stir fry followed by apple, sultana and cinnamon crumble with custard for us .
Nope. Normal hourly rate applies.
Ouch having to work on a sunday sucks, but not getting overtime sucks more!

You deserve a big glass of wine for that, BM.

Cheese is the one thing I have missed this week, Ummmm.

That sounds heavenly, Mazie. All of it.
Why are you on a detox?
Question Author
We're going to Cape Verde in just 3 weeks...
Ahhh...

My aunt is a fitness fanatic and she only detoxs for 1 day a week and cuts back on carbs.

Your detox sounds like punishment :-)
