Can a Citrus Myrtifolia CHINOTTO plant be grown successfully in a pot and be placed outdoors all year. It would be placed in front of a south facing wall which has plenty if light all year. I believe some types are indoor only but any information from anyone who has CHINOTTO's would be appreciated.

I would say, its best grown indoors in the UK, and placed outdoors during the warmer summer months.
A terracotta pot would be the ideal container to grow it in.
