Great film, Gizzy.......another classic from my favourite decade.... the 80's.

Tobe Hooper directed, but rumour has it that in-between filming and editing ET - The Extra Terrestrial, Steven Spielberg came on set and directed some scenes himself.....you can almost tell which ones they are, as they have his stamp all over them.

Enjoy, Giz.....and thanks for letting us know....just finished Game Of Thrones Season finale......omg!..... so Poltergeist has to next. :-)

A man after my own heart .... I was going to give you best answer for your first answer, but you've just surpassed yourself :)
Aaw thanks for BA, Giz :-)

It's kickin' off, so see you in next commercial break, my good man.
Yep, Yogi's first answer is much better than his second....a worthy winner.
Thanks Mr T......see...another example of top class from the 80's....got it on Blu-Ray but haven't seen it in years.....spawned 2 sequels...one not bad, one pants.
pmsl @ Talbot....;) x
Giz,

If you get a chance dig out Poltergeist 2 as all the original cast back in it plus that massive Indian chap from 'Cuckoo's Nest' and is an acceptable watch.
Gizmo I instantly associated it with Poltergeist
and wondered why you had used it

thanks - will watch again

Thanks for that Yogi - I don't think I've seen Poltergeist 2 .... I'll have a look for it :)
It's an OK sequel, Giz.....full title Poltergeist II - The Other Side

Notice the Spielberg influences and possibly rumoured direction and close up shots of characters faces and reactions.....typical Spielberg traits.
Found something on Spielberg direction rumours......Zelda Rubinstein, who played the short psychic said that Spielberg directed her all six days she was there shooting. Interesting eh?
