They both have Birthday's in August.

Richard Gere is married to Carey Lowell (2002, have a son together) who was a Bond Girl. Jill St John was also a Bond Girl.

Another link could be Sean Connery,

They've both co-starred in a movie with Sean Connery. Gere as Lancelot to Connery's King Arthur in First Knight, and St. John played Tiffany Case opposite Connery as "Bond, James Bond" in Diamonds are Forever.
