Comediennes!

Why is it that there are so few comediennes? Are women just not as funny as men?

Similarly why is it that there are so few female rock stars that play their own instruments, or so few female electric guitarists/drummers compared with men?

..and NO all girl groups that play as well as sing, with the exception of The Bangles and a couple of not very successful ones....

Any ideas?

there are/were a few all girl rock groups like L7 and Drain. But i know what you mean. I just don't know the answer as to why!

God yes, that would slow them down a bit!!!

Well my interest/career is comedy and rock music, and I suppose I am a bit of a tomboy. Not that I look like one, but I am single and have no plans to become otherwise or have kids... I guess you just have to make your career your priority.

But it still doesn't answer why women just don't seem to be AS GOOD at these things.
