At one point, about 03:12, it starts to get really interesting. But instead of going in the kill Andrew Neil lets him off the hook. I wonder if Neil would have been as easy on any of the real politicians, as he was with this rather inoffensive but confused chap ?

I think Neil took pity on an individual who is clearly out of his depth in terms of not only stating his views, but backing up statements he has made on Twitter.

It's not kind to either tease (too easy!) or obliterate (too cruel!) someone who believes that a party fighting an election on the basis of faith is actually going to get anywhere.

This man is a shining example of the joys of free speech - he proves that not everyone given free speech has anything remotely worth talking about, or listening to.

Agree andy...100% !
Interesting that you periodically insult UKIP and now Christians but you refrain from insulting the biggest anti Gay religion of all.
hes the most miserable looking Christian ive ever seen.:)
anne, you didn't see my Sunday school teacher !.
Many must remember when members of the yogic flying party stood for election. I had hoped their initiative would lead to a take off of religious based parties but it never really got off the ground.
never mind -)
Was that anything to do with John Lennon, sandy.
I think all of the Beatles dabbled but it was George Harrison who took it seriously. I think he gave a mansion to the TM people
Ah yes, George Harrison, thanks sandy.
And no bids yet, doc.

AOG - "Interesting that you periodically insult UKIP and now Christians but you refrain from insulting the biggest anti Gay religion of all."

I am not aware that I have 'insulted' UKIP at any time, and I am not 'insulting' Christians' here - merely pointing out that this man appears disconnected from reality, as is anyone who believes that any natural phenomena are the actions of 'an angry God'.

I am not a Christian, but I do know that a cornerstone of that faith is the belief in a loving and forgiving God.

As to my 'refraining' from 'insulting' the biggest 'anti-Gay religion of all' - I have taken the Catholic church to task many times on various threads over the years.
