Yes, i believe his Parkinsons was first diagnosed by a fan.
Like Billy...he stayed in same smallish hotel I was in on a residential course in seaham years back...he was doing concerts in Newcastle, he was by himself and asked if he could come eat at our table for company....real good guy great fun, after his shows he sat in the bar with us...bought his round in ..we had some great sing songs, he had his banjo with him...
Really? How brilliant. He was nice in real life then? Not always easy to tell.
Very nice pix...was missing his kids !!
murray, I remember the banjo - Billy taught my ex his first "strums" on the banjo, in his Humblebums days.
It's a programme that really appealed to me and I would like to have watched.
I was once a fan of Connolly...loved to go to see him live.... but I won't give him house room now for the same reason as Baldric....
Just finished watching the recording. Really enjoyed it.
Interesting Programme ferlew !!
Part 2 is on next week.
Billy Connolly is not a well man himself as he has Parkinson's disease and prostate cancer
Love Billy Connolly & enjoyed watching this, he's brilliant in this kind of programme & a very funny man too!
Just watched part two, I'm in more than two minds now about my own send off.
Decisions, decisions...
