i have some pet dislikes, i would say hate, but perhaps that's too strong, but one thing irks me no end, is people who leave bags on seats on public transport, despite polite entreaties to be able to sit down.
what's yours ?

People who say "Haitch" instead of Aitch, nucular instead of nuclear, michievious instead of mischievous, percific instead of specific. You get the drift?
spitting.
People who get off an escalator and just stand there, do they expect you to vault over them!
Queue jumpers, what makes them think they are more important than you & bad manners generally really.
Question Author
spitting, yuck, the worse one is that nose thing some blokes do, awful
Question Author
bad manners, feet on seats on bus and train, and definitely leaving their bags on the seats, it does get me, even if you are polite, they glare at you as though bonkers.
Not much bothers me, unless I am having a cross day and then pretty much anything can start me ranting and tutting.
Question Author
sherr, welcome to the club.
Question Author
people that talk over you, as though you are invisible
I just begin to lower my 6' 3" of solidly built Dave towards the offending bag - it tends to get moved quite quickly.

Actually I'm a grumpy enough bugger to deliberately choose a seat that someone is 'defending', in preference to one that the polite person adjacent has left clear.
....or don't say please or thank you.
I'm with sherr on this. Not much bothers me but if I've got one on me the least little thing can really wind me up :o(
People who sit on my bags on public transport! ;-)
The "women's chattering club" that barricades an aisle of the supermarket with their trollies whilst they have a natter.
I saw something about that on the internet re: people who leave bags on seats. I ask them to move them. Lots of things irritate me. People who stand too close behind me in queues. People who barge through a door when I have just opened it to exit (and then don`t say thank you). Drivers who don`t indicate or don`t thank me when I pull over to let them pass. Customer service staff who carry on a conversation amongst themselves whilst serving me. I think that just general bad manners irritate me.

the best or worse one was recently, i got on the overground train, it was busy, searched for a seat, four seats had items placed on them, but no people, so i asked the woman opposite and she jauntily said she was saving them for her friends who were getting on at the next stop. I have no idea why i moved off, but it was with some choice words on my lips,
she wasn't lucky as a couple told her off.
The "I'll just do a bit of shopping whilst I'm here" pillocks who can't be arsed to move their car away from the petrol pumps first.
Neighbours who spoil your row of houses with rubbish bins at front door overflowing and bags of rubbish in garden when it is totally unnecessary as there is excellent service to remove stuff!
Question Author
people who let a door bang in your face, i don't expect them to stand there all day, but a bit of politeness doesn't harm
