I've realised as I get older more and more things irritate me. I rarely react to my irritations as I think it's me being irrational.

I think the opposite for me. As a teenager, I sometimes had a temper that would even scare me, but after children and work, etc, I can't remember the last time I ever got angry. It seems pointless.

I don't think irritated and angry are the same thing. I rarely get angry, but easily get irritated and I keep my irritation to myself when out and about.
