Like many people, I subscribe to a digital tv package, and because of the huge number of channels, I'm probably missing some really good sitcoms.

At the moment, the only ones that we're aware of are 'Modern Family', 'The Big Bang Theory' and 'Brooklyn Nine Nine'.

Are there any others that I should be setting my TiVo box to record?

(Incidentally, we tried the new series of 'Outnumbered' and found it very much 'sit' without the 'com').

Seinfeld, although about 20 years old now, is still funny.
I love Girls, too, I'm not sure if men are into it though. I love it.
Also, Curb Your Enthusiasm. All on Sky Atlantic.

Ohhh....sore point.

Love 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' but we are a Virgin Media household...the one channel we can't get is Sky Atlantic. I used up all my best swear words when I found out that CYE had been bought up by Sky.

But thanks...you're thinking along the right lines.

Thank you - I'm vaguely aware of 'Not Going Out' - will check it out on catch up TV.

Can you remember which channel it was on?
Chewn, I assume you're joking! It's terrible. Clunky script, terrible acting, awful characters, especially the woman who plays the sister of err ... someone, Tim Vine's character I think.
How I met your mother is quite good. Big Bang just gets better and better.
Clover....he said it was the best, not that he liked it.

Oh...a bit of controversy over 'Not Going Out'!

Makes me even more curious.

Zac-Master...yes I agree re: Big Bang Theory, but that's mainly because in our house we're a little bit in love with Amy Farah Fowler.
Ah, ok Zacs, I get your point.

You must get out more sp. ;-)

Thank you...I will add that to my list. It's on Comedy Central and has been going a while now, so there must be something to it....

You're kidding! I spend about 20% of my life trying to find good comedy on telly and another 20% at comedy clubs.

The other 60% of the time I spend being miserable...
Parks & Recreation?

Yep...that's on our list too, especially because Amy Poehler is a bit of a comedy genius (and the programme fills the big '30 Rock' hole in the comedy schedule).
Are sit-coms funny?
Uncle on BBC3 with Nick Helm is pretty good too.
Can't recommend it enough sp, it's brilliant, and you'll fall in love with Ron, or that could just be me!
Sorry to interrupt your thread, sp, but where and when can I find Parks and Recreation? I also loved 30 Rock.
Thanks.
Just started watching this too, from two of the guys from The League Of Gentlemen, so won't be to everyone's taste but the first episode was superb:
