Set recorder for this, started watching it, after 20 minutes it went off for news flash about Mandela, did not carry on recording it afterwards. Not a happy bunny, as I love Mrs Browns Boys.

I can't believe someone would complain that they missed a TV prog because of a newsflash detailing the death of one of the greatest men of modern times.
And it's a repeat!
Bit harsh daffy, not everyones jumping on the Mandela bandwagon
yes Daffy you can, 86 000 in fact...

when The Madiba was released from Robbin Island (OK I know I know) in whatever year, the progz were broken and 86 000 people complained in writing to the Beeb. It was the most complained about prog ever (even more than Fanny Craddock brow beating the farmer's wife which was the second most complained about prog).

and the prog broken into was..... the antiques roadshow

(my mother was one of the complainants)

I was complaining the recorder didn't carry on recording, not the fact that there was a news flash.
there's no need to record mrs browns boys Caran, it repeated on most channels almost every week..I must admit when i first seen your post I had to sit on my hands in case I type something i shouldn't
Question Author
I recorded it while I finished watching something else. That was the only episode I saw on tv for weeks, don't have sky.
I was just surprised the box didn't carry on recording as it recorded the news flash.
Mrs Brown's are all repeats at the moment, there is a Christmas edition due out. MrAsk loves the programme, granddaughter is thinking boxed set for him for Christmas, I'm thinking please God no!

instead of a boxed set of mrs Brown....
you could get a 6h DVD of The Madiba's funeral and add-ons of his family soliciting donations for their favourite causes (that would be themselves)
I'd rather have watched Mrs Brown...............
i switched tv off and watched it on i player,
Agree with ELVIS.
