Something as simple as this would do it.............

Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation

One thought .......... bundled software on these things is not always up to much.
As an alternative, you might prefer to use the MovieMaker software that comes with Windows.
This is the cheapest working example I could find on ebay:-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Panasonic-DMR-EZ48V-Black-DVD-VHS-Recorder-Combo-Freeview-Copy-VHS-to-DVD-/121216416704?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_DVDPlayers_Recorders&hash=item1c390fbbc0

ebay has no examples of such products that are ‘new’ – so I suspect that no one makes them anymore.
For an all in one solution – it’s quite expensive. If you have a working VHS player, then a cheaper option would be to buy a DVD recorder and connect the two.

The Builder’s solution is far from fool-proof and will tie up your PC/laptop for many hours, transferring each tape (but it is cheap).

My solution will not allow you to transfer your cassette (music) to CD – but virtually any PC can do this with the correct software.
Before you part with £150 for my offered solution - I notice that the video output format is NTSC (as used in the USA) and not PAL (as used in the UK).

You will need to check that it is compatible with your AV equipment.

It might be an error in the ebay listing, as it is from a UK seller.
