Glad I'm not the only one

Little gem, obviously not just me it seems!
The thing that I noticed last night was that everyone was dressed for Halloween except Susanna Reid, (the last one to dance) she was dressed for the dance (Charleston ) and not the occassion.
And Mark - what part of Halloween has a silver suited astronaut (very unflattering costume, as well) and an alien? in it?
Don't mind Natalie, Artem has had a good choice over dance partners over the last few years, and seems very good with his choreography to bring out the best in them.
Gina - I agree with you, she does a good job of the 'what, little me?' act.
But then she is an actress I suppose.
Yes, she is a very good actress, maybe that is why she is confident. She can act whatever part she is dancing and she also got a very good dance partner. Being trained as a dancer doesn't mean she WILL win though, but I hope she does. I like her and she does dance very well. Bet Artem is pleased as here's a chance to be a winner. Best of luck to them.
I can't stand her (see Nungate for full details) I hate her laugh and I refuse to watch her dance!

butterbun, you mean to be a winner again!
a good dancer, i thought i heard one of the presenter say she had trained in dancing when a bit younger, stage school perhaps? that seems a tad unfair, if so.
what i don't get is why Dave Myers has got this far, he has been hopeless from the start, and has effectively knocked out one or two much better people.
emmie, as I said earlier in the thread she has been dancing since she was 3 and lists dancing on her CV
sorry, then pretty much an unfair advantage, she looks like a dancer, i don';t care for her acting, but then again i stopped watching corrie a while back
It happens every year - he gets the public's votes. Remember Anne Widdecombe, John Sergeant and other hopeless dancers kept in far too long?

i love him with Si King, but not in this, he is a buffoon...
I think the BBC have said that she has never done ballroom dancing before. The majority of actors/actresses have been to stage school where they'll all have had some training in dance, so you'd have to bar all of them from entering.
I find Natalie a pleasure to watch, unlike some of the others......
Maybe she hasn't done ballroom before, but if you've spent 15+ years training in jive, ballet, jazz, tap and modern you are going to have the agility and stamina to dance and have a good understanding of musicality, rhythm, posture, expression, timing and basic dance steps.
Easier for a jive dancer to learn a waltz than the other way round.
stage school will cover many types of dance, singing, and all around acting skills, seems to be rather unfair. I am not sure i like her, but she is undoubtedly a very good dancer. I want Ashley to win, he is lovely, and seems very capable.
they taught Jamie Bell to do ballet, whilst he was good at tap dancing already. Good rhythm always helps, and an early start in dancing will stand you in good stead
