I'm sky+ it as I think I might only be able to watch in little bits.
Lol.my BP went up at reading your title! Better stick with the"dogs alone"
Adding more stigma to people on benefits, fueling hate, separating the masses...

Yes this case is despicable, but the lady in question is doing nothing illegal. This is ALLOWED, and by our own government. That is where the problem lies.

Well so far I can see their not skimping on food
I'm not watching it, just because this particular case does will do my head in, but as you say in your original post, this is an exceptional case.
Your average person relying on benefits doesn't have 50 kids (or however many she's got), nor do they have the latest tv's/phones/mod cons.

At a time when there are more and more people relying on food banks, and making that choice of 'heating or eating', stuff like this annoys me. It's stigmatising people on benefits, and that's no right.
Baby sham - no one would be outraged if it showed a desperate family struggling to get by :(
I know what you're saying, and this woman and her beliefs that's she's entitled to a free life annoys the hell out of me, but it just adds more fuel to the fire, in that people end up judging those on benefits, and putting them in the same box as her and her freeloading family.
What mess did the bankers get us into that relates to the benefit system ?
Babysham, there is a massive difference between those genuinely in a position where they need benefits and others who take the p because they can. I think we're all aware that many are on benefits through no fault of their own.
Yeah ok, fair point. Maybe I should watch the program and then air my opinions :D

With regards to the 'bankers', I assume the OP means they are to blame for this country being bankrupt and on it's arse - which is the case.
I doubt they've had any effect on the lady in question though.
i cant watch a program like this my hubby cant claim a damn thing , hes tirelessly looking for work after being made redundant , he has to ask me for money its totally demoralising and we are now scratching around using what little savings we had. some weeks i have to miss meals so i can put fuel in car to get to work but because i work we cant claim but yet people on benefits next door to me run a car have sky + and have a holiday how can that be right ?? they could work but she says she cant be bothered and that the tax payers can keep her and her fella !!!! i know there are some genuine people claiming and i dont begrudge them especially if they have kids but people like her make me very angry. rant over !!!!
Why do they always have loads of pets, All extra to feed.

I wondered about the pedigree dogs too
There not cheap
Never thought I would see soup kitchens and food banks again!
Is "the bankers got us into this mess" going to be the justification for everything for the foreseeable future? Didn't the people stupid enough to borrow what they kinew they could never repay have any responsibility?
It's stupid to try and offset the dregs like this appalling woman against other wrong-doings and call it a draw! And, no, I don't lump all benefit claimants together, any more than I lump every member of other groups together.
Star, it's horrendous. This year will see the British Red Cross start collecting and distributing food aid for the first time since the second world war!!

I know this is off-topic, but it is something I feel really passionately about and it fills me with absolute rage!
One woman on the programme (11 children) gets the equivalent of £66,000 - doubt she needs food parcels. It's those people right on edge, teetering on the brink and filled with constant worry that I feel sorry for. Those on benefit and bragging, with their pedigree dogs and manicured nails, etc are the ones who need clamping down on.
I have worked 51 years, for what I have, hub a bit more.
What The Flip is wrong with these folk, these want summat for nowt. ?
Question Author
If the statistics banded around in the programme are to be believed it would seem low income workers are more in need of good parcels than those on benefits
I did not see anyone on that programme in hardship or need of a food parcel
Question Author
Good = food

But you knew that didn't you;-))
