I am looking for a method of contraception to use as well as condoms but I'm not sure what method to go for, ideally I want something that won't stop my periods and I've been told I can't use some methods as I have diabetes, any ideas?

Thanks =)

The coil?
kids, there the best contraception grrrrrrrrrrr!
I got the implant in my arm, it's great it stays in for 3 years so you dont have to think about it. I was on the injections a few years ago but wouldnt recommend it, sometimes its three months between periods

The pill doesn't stop your periods.  You still bleed once a month - same as before.  So everything feels totally normal, just a little lighter and less painful for most girls.  Pill can also help with spots.

There are many different types of pill and I'm sure there'll be one that is suitable for diabetics.  Ask your GP or Family Planning Clinic.

PS - I'm glad you want to use it WITH condoms - at least you're clued up that other forms won't stop STDs! :-)

if you don't want to use the Pill, why not try a diaphragm? I used one for years, and had no trouble with it at all. I wouldn't use it on its own, though. A friend of mine and her 2 year-old son Jamie would confirm that...
