I could be wrong but was the gang boss in the first I.J. called Charlie Bridger?

The reason i ask is i know that Michael Caine used to call the producer Carlo Ponti, Charlie Bridger as a joke. It is a translation of it near enough.

John Cleese's character in Fish Called Wanda was called Archie Leech, Cary Grants real name.

know any more of these trivia facts?

Here is the cast list for the Italian job

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064505/
In the original "Assault on Precinct 13" the film editing was credited to John T Chance (a pseudonym for the film's director John Carpenter). "Assault on Precinct 13" was generally regarded as based on the Howard Hawks film "Rio Bravo" which starred John Wayne in the role of a certain John T Chance.
And in the film "Citizen Kane", Charles Foster Kane dies uttering the word "Rosebud" (which refers to a sledge he had as a boy). This film is generally regarded as being based on the life of the newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. Hearst's girlfriend was the actress Marion Davies and- appparently- Rosebud was the nickname he gave to her private parts- one of the reasons why Hearst was supposed to have hated the film.
Michael Caine's character in the Italian Job was Charlie Croker and Noel Coward played Mr Bridger.
