yes, I thought at first that I couldn't follow it, but I thought it was excellent.

I read the book last year and thought this was a great interpretation. OH had a job following it at first, but I told him it will all come together in the end, which it did. Let's hope the other episodes are as good.

I'v been looking forward to it all week and was not disapointed, I managed to pretty much follow it all but felt the meeting with michael and 'francesca' came too quickly, where did brian jackson disappear to?

They said there were no traces of a boy taken into care, so where had Michael gone after they found him with his dead mother?

Sorry but I found the plot far too complicated. Lost interest quite quckly. I seem to recall the original series was funny, quirky,etc but this is just another series about a serial killer on the loose. Another one tonight (The Fall).

It was quite a shock to see Victoria Wood in this. She was excellent, I thought. No, the lad who was introduced as Michael was not the flashy PI with the similar name to Jackson. That PI was working for him. I too thought the introduction of Michael to his half sister was glossed over too much. Kinda saw it coming though. the only gripe I have is finding Marnee's accent rather difficult to follow, coming from darn sarf as I do!.

So pleased that this is back, Victoria Wood was excellent, and love the dog!
Nice to have something to look forward to on a sunday evening again.
It's that rather strange serial with Gillian Anderson (The Fall?) tonight, hope that it's a bit less muddling than last weeks' was.
