James is pulling Louis Smith's leg and he is bravely trying some fairly strange new (for him) foods. Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

I have to be so careful crossing a road as I can't just dash across now in case I topple over. I have to go to the crossing to make sure and have to double back and it annoys me. Last week my feet from ankle to halfway down the foot went bright red for 4 days. I took a photo to show Mexico when i can be ***! Ive started to hobble and i dont like it.
He's referring me back to the doctor Woofy.I should get a copy of the letter in a day or two and he's put me on his S.O.S list. He agrees that in spite of the exercises ,which I have done religiously ,it's no better.
He's convinced it's spinal stenosis because the pain goes from my back down my legs and I get tingling and numbness in my hands, therefore I need to see a specialist.Basically it's narrowing of the spaces in the spine caused by this bloody OA.He did say there's not a lot to be done about it.Perhaps cortisone which will help pro tem and the last ditch attempt would be surgery which isn't always successful. Looks as if I'm lumbered with it,but grit teeth and keep going as best I can.
Go to the mexico Neti.Don't let it get hold of you if you can avoid it.Get treatment. Hobbling is not good but I have it down to a fine art:)
Big wave to you all ,let's all feel better soon including your OH Jno.
Night all.

Good evening all...it looks like spring has dropped back into winter so here I is. I was really enjoying the warm sunny days and have managed to slowly tick a few items on my mile long 'to do list'. I've hardly been on the computer or watched much tv, I even forgot to do the lotto...luckily I wouldn't have won a bean.
So sorry things haven't moved on for your OH jno. I hope you can both manage the feeding routine, it's good stuff, and very expensive apparently. Thank goodness for the NHS. It's no good saying don't worry but look after yourself.
Oh dear, aches 'n pains all round I see. I had the itching thing too, it came on very suddenly, all over. I don't know what it was but I took antihistamine and that helped.
Take care everyone, hope the sun shines again soon.

OH has an operation date at the start of May, though the question of why there's been no weight gain remains unanswered. A nurse suggested having the feed going for 12 hours instead of 10 might help, but this really needs a nutritionist's input and there wasn't one there today when OH went in for a pre-op assessment, which was a bit lax since they had been told there seemed to be a problem.
Hello all
That is so sad Neti.Poor man.Understandable though after all those years together.
Not very springlike out there ,we've got the heating on.
Good news about the op Jno .Not long to wait. Fingers crossed for a successful outcome.
Had my letter from the phsysio.Medical mumbo jumbo.Stenosis and /or facet joint dysfunction whatever that is ,so my back is back to the doctor.
Nice to see you Robinia .My "to do" list never gets done lately .
I wish some hot sunny weather would appear and I might feel more motivated.

Afternoon all
Oh dear neti, what a sad thing to happen.
The sun's out at the moment but it's showery, wildly windy and not at all warm. Did some shopping, came back to catch my breath and went for what seemed like an a-z of blood tests. It was very busy, the world and his wife were there, tutting about the wait.
I think my get up and go was a fleeting visitor because it's got up and gone.
