James is pulling Louis Smith's leg and he is bravely trying some fairly strange new (for him) foods. Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

Good morning. It's a blue sky and very bright but the sparras are dancing on ice so I'd better go and sort that out.....once I've crawled back out of the wormhole I'm probably about to enter. Let's see.....
Ooophhh....
Buffer it....
it's still nippy here, the electric fans and immersion heater are on, I've just had a sizzling shower and got out to realise the towels are all damp because the drying rail isn't working, being part of the gas central heating. Never mind, I'm sure the nouveau eskimo way of life will catch on soon.

good morning nippy here too even with central heating. Very bright though. Dogs are snoring so what else is new?
I've got a wall fan heater in the bathroom because the tiny radiator isn't enough in winter and I love standing underneath it while I get dry. Using talc in the air stream isn't a good idea though....poooof! I always put my clothes on the bedroom radiator while I have a shower...and then I have a tropical moment :-/

I'm fed up of the word 'feminism' and the Grid girls debate. Let them do it, it's their choice, tut. Anyone fancy being a Grid Biddy, I'm thinking of starting an agency? :)
Hello all
Snow still laying around here . It's bright but very cold.
Nothing new here.Same old.Not a lot you can do in this weather really.
Need to do some household engineering but can't summon up any enthusiasm.
Hahaaa,Robinia ..I nearly slopped my coffee over the keyboard .
:)

the problem I would have with being a Grid anything is where you have to smile and keep quiet.
if you like to chat, the Presidents Club would probably be a better fit
ah me, just about packed once my ipad finishes charging. The next you hear from me may be from somewhere frightfully exotic, and hopefully a bit warmer. Or just from Gatwick if I'm feeling bored.
Question Author
its not the chat, its the overwhelming desire....no....need to tell the stupid people that they are stupid. There was a lovely bit in dinnerladies where Twinkle goes to audition to be a lap dancer....hang on....can't find it on youtube....she decides not to take the job.....she doesn't mind the lap dancing but you have to smile while you are doing it

bon voyage Jno.
Morning all. Am totally worn out. Hija doesnt realise i am old, and we are shooting about everywhere. The metro is always literally jam packed but have to save the men ere always give me a seat. We use a lot of Uber which are nothing like the UK ones. Smart limos and nice drivers. The dubai taxi drivers dont have the "knowledge" and dont understand English. Uber have satnavs and are so cheap. Just Mr N and I today off to the Creek then a posh dinner tonight with hija.
Mousey is ok with her bodyguard but he is suffering!!!
We blagged our way into a posh hotel next to the burj al arab ( ship one) and got a complimentary boat ride.
Hello all
Lovely sunny day but so cold.
Bon voyage Jno .
Nothing doing here.
It all sounds lovely Neti but I must agree .I couldn't do all that rushing around these days.I'd be glued to a sun lounger :)
Hope you're all ok.
I am actually quite proud of my legs keeping up. I never thought i could do it. Sun lounger, that is something I could never spend time on. I am so thankful that I can still gad about. Also helps that taxis and ubers are cheap. Off out for a dinner to which we have been invited and i have a cold sore on my lip!!
Ibiza expected tp be minus 1° tomorrow!!!
Hong Kong pretty chilly here though more than one degree. Have found an Outback Steakhouse up the road so dinner is sorted. OH still subsisting on dry bread and water though. Not sure if omaprazole pills are treating the problem or making it worse.
Question Author
oh dear Jno I hope your OH is sorted soon, it must be a bit worrying for both of you. Neti, I don't think we want to think of our Mums or Dads getting old.
