Stupid Adverts

Just saw an advert for something that cures manky toenails. The advert showed cartoon men on the toenail, fighting back the infection with the footnote on the screen saying 'demonstration only'. Well duh!

Yeah, well it's probably a fair comment on the intelligence of the general public these days.

it's not stupid adverts, it's stupid people. like the nivea ad where water explodes in people's faces and it says at the bottom "hydrating effect only when in use" or words to that effect, or the adsfor shampoo that make your hair completely different, or the mascara that increases your lash volume to twice the length, or wrinkle cream ads that show 15 year olds who don't have wrinkles anyway, or spot cream ads that show people who've clearly never had a spot in their life. People are stupid

It annoys me when computer games are advertised with clips which are 'not actual game footage'. A bit like advertising a film but showing a trailer from a different movie.
