I agree so I went and fetched a bowl of trifle. That's improved the programme no end
I dont think a TV programme should be used as a "specialist subject"
it was the same here, i knew val mcdairmind's name yesterday but didn;t recognise her. it's barrel scraping at it's lowest
Perhaps they have trouble finding any 'celebrities' with any knowledge at all?
Surely one person's celebrity is another person's non-celebrity.

For example I dont watch any soaps, so nobody on a soap is a celebrity to me.

But for people who watch Eastenders, Corrie or Hollyoaks the people on there are celebrities.

I do agree we throw around the epithet celebrity too easily and people can become a celebrity by apearing on a reality show for a few weeks (are you listening mr wierdo from pineapple studio).

Years ago I remember Andy Warhol saying "in future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes" and at the time I had no idea what he meant.

Now with the internet, youtube, social media, reality shows, celebrity game shows and so on anyone can be famous for a short time and I now know what he meant.

I only know Alice Roberts but I like her work a lot, she's informed and intelligent.
I watch it for the questions.
Alice Roberts was the only one I recognised though calling her a celebrity is ridiculous.
