I thought she sounded better singing Santa Baby than she does when singing operatic stuff. I always find her operatic singing looks and sounds too forced, rather than being natural.

Not an 'opera' singer-a decent soprano who sings some operatic pieces-big difference. Does not seem to know what she wants-popular or classical-but LURVES the limelight. Not jealous (unless she ever sings with Placido Domingo!) just rather bored with her continual changes of direction/image.

I don't know her, but I intensely dislike her media persona.

Her styling is OTT and she rarely appears in a natural, relaxed manner.

Not a huge fan of Lesley Garret either but at least she has been in an opera company and sung opera for many years. The media love to label singers opera singers when they wouldn't even cut it in the chorus-don't get me on the subject of Russell Watson...........

IMO the same happened to Charlotte Church - lovely with classical numbers, awful when she started to try to be more commercial.
