lost mine too Noggin--retuned the freeview and gained several Rte radio stations-maybe the tv stations will follow overnite
We can't get RTE2, RTE 1 and RTE 3 ok obviously switchover caused a problem only discovered this as Champions League is on RTE at the moment and we can't view.
RTE uses mpeg4 encoding for digital broadcasts (which is different from the mpeg2 used by standard UK freeview).

You need a freeviewHD box (or a freeviewHD TV) which will decode the mpeg4 signals (mpeg4 is also used for the HD versions of UK freeview channels).
You can watch Champions League live online here

This is about the cheapest available at the moment ...

Thanks everyone. Sunny-dave, I guess my tvs are HD Ready, not real HD so I'll have to add on the Freeview HD box or the Saorview box. Any recommendations as to which to choose?
I'd always say "stick with Humax or (possibly) Sony" - but both of them seem to have pulled out of making HD freeview boxes at the moment, except for the rather more expensive 'recorder' versions. The box I linked to in my earlier post seems to be OK, but I have no personal experience of it.

If you are in the market for a recorder then Humax are selling their excellent HD recorder at a significant discount here :

Don't fret about the 'graded' status - I bought one & it was absolutely brand spanking new (I think they may just be testing the market at the lower price).
Noggin my mum has lost all her RTE channels despite the switchover people coming out and installing a Humax HD box. It so frustrating as when I rang the helpline number last night the young guy who answered was polite but useless!

What about Saorview boxes - can anyone recommend a particular brand or are they much of a muchness?
