For bashing around.

Next door but one are having some work done but they decided for the second week in a row to get the hammers out at 8.30. I've been up since 7.30 but a little while of peace and quiet on a Saturday morning would be nice. Especially when I feel like I might have yet another migraine coming on.

Is it just me being a bit over grumpy?

8.30 on a Saturday's not early , anything after 8 am is fine with me. Take some tablets now, nip the migraine before it starts.
Nope, I live in a ground floor flat and my upstairs neighbours insist on walking around with very heavy feet! Drives me mental. :(

Hope your migraine stays away, you have my sympathy. I get them a lot. Nasty things.
Nope, not over grumpy at all.
I always thought it was 9am through the week and 10am on a Sunday.
My neighbour had cavity wall insulation done a couple of weeks ago, guy started at 8.
The house was shaking, so were my teeth.
Go back to bed for a while, Evian.

Really? On a Saturday? Surely 10 is more reasonable. :(

Taken some tablets so hopefully it will stay away. I need to be fighting fit for my trip to ikea :)
I sympathise, I was woken up by tree surgeons and their chain saws.

I would tony but I'd have no chance of sleeping with the racket they are making.

I did buy myself a drill yesterday. Maybe I'll play them at their own game ;)
Our landlord uses a leaf lower every day at 730!!
Saturday's a normal working day for many people - for those of us who get up at 6, waiting until 8 before we hoover is hard going!
Yeah, get your new drill out, and give them some back lol.

But it's also a day off for lots of people. I don't do lie ins, 7.30 is my lot normally and I'm happy with that but I do enjoy a couple of hours of quiet relaxing. It's normally my favourite time of the week.

Not sure the drill will cut it, I'm off to HSS for something more powerful :)
Saturday's my day for getting things done, no time in the week - I wouldn't think of anyone having a lie-in on a Saturday. Sunday, yes.
Get a Kango Evian, and have a go at the drive !
Taking out a fireplace is a good ploy, batters their wall too.

I'm not sure the council would be too pleased with me digging up the pavement out the front ;)

Sadly no fireplace to remove and there's another house in between us. It's lucky for him he's so bloody good looking I tell ya!
Id be raging x
I knew it if your good lookin ya can get away with most things lol.
What is the point of leaf blowers? Never got that.

Should be in France. It's universal that nobody can do any kind of such work on Sundays and some local authorities ban it on Saturdays too. When I was in Dublin, I asked a cabbie to take me to a department store on Saturday morning. He said "It'll be shut". I queried this and he said "What Dubliner is going to be up and about at 10 after a Friday night?" That's the attitude; nobody move before 11 at least!
That would drive me barmy, what a waste of useful time!
Agree with boxtops, 8am is fine.

It's hardly the crack of dawn is it?
