was anyone else annoyed by the courtroom drama that unfolded with Carla and Frank, and the woman Barrister barracking Maria and then Peter, why don't the tv producers do a bit of research and see how they really behave. I know it's a soap opera, drama, but it's all so over the top. If real Barristers behaved that badly surely they would be censured by the judge.

Im not sure how they would act in court, but thats why so many rape victims dont go to the police as the thought off going through that and getting pulled to shreads is just to frightening.

not so much what she was saying but the acting was so over the top, hysterical even, and i found it unbelievable and a turn off.
If you've ever attended a rape trial you'll know the reality is sometimes worse than portrayed on Coronation St.
Question Author
I have been in court, and quite frankly no one ever behaved like that, rape trial or not.

of the worse sort.
The barristers may have been from the Ham School of Acting, but the questioning was fairly mild.
They do harangue, bully, use trick questions and dig the dirt.
Question Author
ok the acting was poor, and i know how they can harangue, but quite honestly think it a bad representation of the legal profession, and has no one noticed that Peter had been lying through his teeth, so won't he be add up for perjury.
What I found more disturbing is Michael Moloney playing the other barrister
I agree hc, I've seen rape trials and they're far worse than portrayed on corrie.
