I am quite surprised that no one has mentioned 'Earthflight' on here, or have I missed it. The photography is absolutely amazing, I can't imagine how they get such shots, at times it just feels like you are flying alongside the birds.Quite wonderful.(I did read that it wasn't computer generated either, or filmed in a zoo!!!) rosy

Hey we are getting quite a crowd here :o) Six episodes in all, Europe this week and the spectacle of 20million starlings over Rome, and the cranes and geese flying again,-over Venice this time, they were lovely to watch. Can't wait - rosy
I'm sure I read that the camera is indeed fixed to a bird.
Wow a friend has just put me on to this and I just don't know how I missed it. He tells me I have missed two episodes so I have watched the first one this afternoon on iplayer. Isn't it just fabulous. What a joy to watch. And I love David Tennant doing the narrating. Hats off to the BBC for this one.
that was a brillint programme and hope I dont miss the next one on tele.
Superb!
I'm told it's on early on Thursday evening puss, but not sure. I'll have to check. Agree, superb programme and the most amazing photography. I actually felt like a bird flying high in the sky and even felt their tiredness when they were coming to the end of their journey.
Thanks ladbirder, its on thurs at 8.00. bbc 1. have wrote it on my calendar in pencil x lol

Pity you missed the first one, ladybirder, but surely they will repeat it at some point. I don't usually care for David Tennant in anything, but yes, he is doing an excellent job of narrating this. Pusskin, make a note of it - Thursday, BBC 1 at 8pm!! Looking forward to seeing the configurations of the starlings too. -rosy
