Harry Judd wins Strictly, his McFly bandmates rush from the audience on to the dancefloor to congratulate him, Bruce clearly mistakes them for hooligans and runs around shouting "Get Off!" and smacking them with his cue cards. One of the most cringey things I've ever seen on live tv. A minute later he was heard saying they were Harry's bandmates, but I'm sure that was only after someone had a word in his ear. What did you think of that incident?

Bruce is a professional and will carry on as long as HE wants to do so. He decided he didn't want to do the recording of the results show on a Saturday night and the Beeb went along with it. If they had wanted to get rid of him that would have been a perfect opportunity. Bruce thrives on the unexpected - remember the Karen and Mark Ramprakash incident with the mikes getting caught and a woman came on to fix it and as she walked off, Bruce whirled her round in a dance. Pure Gold. Strictly will NOT be the same without Bruce and long may he continue in good health to do the show, complete with 'awful' jokes.
I don't watch Strictly because of Bruce Forsyth, but watched last night because I wanted Harry to win. I honestly think its time for the old unfunny windbag to retire, he reached his peak years and years ago and I am not ageist as I'm mid-sixties.

I think it was really nice that the McFly boys ran on the floor, they were so pleased that Harry won and it was nice to see. I really hope Mr Forsyth has shot himself in the foot, but I suppose we'll have to put up with him for ages yet unfortunately!
Not the first time he has shoved people off of the dance floor in the final. He did it to Jill Halfpenny's Family too. I think he is very rude and ignorant and then tries to make a joke of it. Well past his sell date. Anton next year for me .
Cheers Ratter...

That just looked typical Brucie to me. That's the kind of thing he does...
Anton who told his celeb partner that she looked like a P***?
Love, Sir Bruce.......but maybe time to retire!
his stage his act he grabs atenshun - tru pro
Who is Harry Judd?

What is "McFly"? (Is it something you occassionally find in your McCock-a-Leekie soup?)

Why isn't Victor Sylvester still running Come Dancing?
I never watch Strictly because of Forsyth (I've never liked him) and now I won't be able to watch Dancing on Ice because of Lampard's bloody girlfriend.
Just watched it thanks to Ratter's link - obviously tongue-in-cheek banter from Sir Brucie !
I have not watched the series but watched the clip oout of curiousity. Bruce Forsyth does some stagey flapping at the band members - if he'd been seriously disconcerted by a stage invasion he wouldn't have gone near. Got us all to look though!
Yes I think it is now time for him to hang up his dancing shoes.

If I hear him say "nice to see you, to see you nice" once more I will scream.

And if he thinks his 'Thinker' type pose is original, I have to tell him it isn't, I was doing it years before him.
Well realistically he was only doing his job. His career is too long standing for this to affect it.
Apparently, there is a "massive clear out of well-known faces" going to happen on Strictly....BBC.R4 this morning
Bruce is past his sell by date. Take the K and slide into oblivion please.
didn't happen in this dimension.
I've just watched a recording of last night's programme. What a fuss over nothing. As others have said, he knew perfectly well who those people were. He was joking.
agree it was funny, as intended i'm sure.

i'd rather see tess get the axe before brucie. zoe ball or claudia winkleman would be perfect.
Of course he was joking. I watched it on I player last night. It was so obvious that I am surprised people didn't realise. It's something Bruce often does and has done for all his career. Us oldies understand Brucie!! ;o)
Looks like Chirpy wasn't the only one who noticed....

But if you look at his face in the 4th picture down he is smiling. He knows who they are.
