Many years ago I was fostered by a family, the father was an officer at Leicester sea cadets, his twin sons were both members and his daughter had been a member before she joined the navy.

Thinking on my own post....what would the MOD do with this little boat if they got it back and how on earth can a row boat with a little engine be valued at £3.5k
It does seem ridiculous that they would want it, and 3.5k seems way to much money for the boat.
Leicester people are usually very generous (in my experience), I bet they find a sponsor and won't lose the boat.
Who says not one 'overpaid pen-pusher at the MoD' will lose their job?

I do prudie because its always the front line ..think lollipop people ..local libraries..oap subsidised train travel..never the administration people
Leicester sea cadets???

Surely you can't get much further from the sea in England!
Well I work for the MoD and hundreds and hundreds of decent frontline admin people have lost their jobs or are about to lose them.

On a completely lighter note - deja vu anyone?
A little, Prudie :)
Just Typical. They would probably take the boat back and scrap it.
The base at Leicester sea cadets is right on the River Soar, it is a heck of a distance to a body of ocean though. lol

Didn't Switzerland ..a landlocked country..win The Americas Cup..
Can't see the Leicestershire Sea Cadets winning the Trophee Vendome though
Do air cadets have to live near airports ?
The cadet force of GB is a great way to give youngsters an interest in things other then hanging round street corners, drinking and collecting ASBOs.
