Has anybody watched series 9 of this show? It has always been a bit ridiculous and Horatio Caine is a laughable character, but in series 9 he has become a sadistic brute. In one episode its implied he beats up a man in custody, he constantly threatens to kill others. Indeed his kill count is about 3 criminals per episode plus an aligator.

This kind of takes away the enjoyment of the show. It seems that the script writers have tried to give him a more edgy persona, but failed. The theme of the show has always been that the good guys win, but when the good guy is blood thirsty and shoots people for no reason, it ruins the suspension of disbelief.

Anyone agree?

No comment on that, but I watch every week in the hope that one day he may say the immortal words "what's the time, Mr Wolfe".......
Yes, watch NCIS instead, it's much better and funnier.
I agree vulcan, NCIS is better than any of the CSIs. Love Jethro!
I am a fan of the CSI shows, however i stopped watching Miami altogether as i was so fed up with the whole MalaNoche (SIC) thing. Also the sunglasses on, sunglasses off thing bugged me! I stick with Vegas and NY.
Absolutely agree with Mrs lee - cannot abide to watch Miami anymore
Pants now.....started brilliantly in the early seasons........grest stories and David Caruso used to move about a bit........now just a parody and tired laughable scripts.

Long live The Shield and The Wire........:0)
I think the only episode of CSI Miami I've ever thought any good was the one were it seemed Horatio had been killed off
I find the wobbly, which picture shall we watch?, camera work irritating. And why oh why oh why did Cali have her lips collagened...they look ridiculous.

...and Vegas rocks, closely followed by NY and then NCIS.
I like Vegas and NY too. Think Ted Danson taking over from Laurence Fishburne sounds a bit weird but we will have to see I suppose.
