I saw a car the other day with a number plate consisting of just 3 numbers
It did not look like a foreign plate
The plate on the rear ,had a yellow background with black numbers , just like a british plate
Assuming that it was a british registered number plate - i thought all number plates ; private or not, had to have a combination of letters and numbers
As well as the Channel Islands, Luxembourg still has some registration plates with numbers only and the rear plate is the same as the British ones - front are yellow same as rear, not white as British.
^^^ My thoughts exactly, Balders. Guernsey plates have only ever had numbers. (They're up to 5 digits these days but I've seen cars with both 2- and 3-digit plates).
There's a car (nowt special) I see in a village near me that is just an O and a single number. Definitely not Channel Islands, Isle of Man or similar. Very strange, never seen anything like it.
There's a car with a similar No plate near me to gg. The same No plate has been on quite a few cars at the owners house over the many years that I have know'n it. Not a channel islands registration.
