I'm confused. Is this in relation to your sons impending court case and if so, how does this affect you?

Question Author
hi, has anyone out there been in prison and know how long your rent is payed for thanks
I'm no expert, but I would have thought your rent stops while you are in prison, since you are not living at home?
Depends if you have a partner or any dependants.
52 weeks if unconvicted, 13 weeks if convicted PROVIDED your sentence is 13 weeks or less.
Question Author
thank you very much, so if you do 12 weeks everything ok is it or do i have to sort it out with anyone , thanks again
You are talking about Housing Benefit. You must let the Local Authority know when you go into prison. They will decide whether the benefit is to stop, depending on how long you are expected to be in prison. This is not necessarily the same as the length of sentence because inmates are normally let out after half their sentence or - sometimes - even earlier on a tag.
Question Author
the sentance is short and will be in for 12 weeks does that mean rent will be ok, thanks
If you are in for less than 13 weeks benefit will continue - but you must let the local authority know what is happening.
Question Author
thank you for your help
.so if i let housing know everything be ok will it
