does your husband have any stake in the business at all?
Was he an employee, or self-employed but working for the one company?
Question Author
he had no stake in the company, and was an employee
If the business closes he is entitled to a redundancy payment of least the minimum statutory amount.
If he has any business acumen at all, if he knows the business is profitable, and he knows the contacts and customers, he could offer to take over the business in exchange for not claiming the redundancy, if he thinks he could make a go of it.
