I claim income support and incapacity benefit, it adds up to £93.45 a week. I want to move in with my boyfriend who works and earns just under £14,000 a year. Will I still be entitled to my money or will it be the case that he is expected to keep me?
Thanks, if anyone knows the answer....

your joint income will be looked at for the purposes of calculating benefits
Phone them. 14k a year for two adults is not a lot of money. You will be entitled to some benefits I'm just not sure which ones.
You definately have got to tell soc/sec'y it may affect your IS, but your incapacity benifit won't be affected.

Incapacity Benefit is not means tested so it won't be affected. Your income support is means tested and will stop.

You must notify DWP of the change as soon as it takes place.
You should be claiming Disability Living allowance.

of course they are not Anne but a hell of a lot of them are
lets assume this aber is genuine.....................look at the amount of money they receive per week. and dla as someone posted is very difficult to get even for very genuine people..................*disability living allowance.*

I'm bemused why the OP -if she had nothing to hide/lose/gain didnt just ask the Benefits Agency or whatever they are called.
