I own my house but the land is leasehold with approx 60 yrs left on the lease which was originally 99yrs. I am worried that when I come to sell I won't be able to sell because of the short lease, I cannot afford to buy the lease either. Any suggestions????

I didn't think of that, I suppose I could if it didn't cost to much. Thanx anyway
Go to www.lease-advice.org - there is a lot of info there & a helpline you can ring. This is a complex subject - you might have a right to buy a lease extension but valuing it is difficult & something to be done by surveyors who are experienced in that work. It may be that the lanldlord would have to pay the costs - I'm not sure.
