I was assulted my a ex partner with a baseball bat. On the same night he also damaged some of my belongings and stole my mobile phone. Does any one know if he will have to serve a sentince or will they just let him get away with it

Well assuming he is convicted, it seems likely yes. There are atleast 3 offences that can be inferred from your brief discription. An assault ( whether it be s.47, s.20, s.18 I'm not sure on the facts) criminal damage and theft so it seems likely that he will end up in prison. Depending on the degree of the assault it could be for a fair time... again, that is assuming he is convicted of these crimes on indictment

He was arrested and interviewed. he is bein prosicuted for all 3 i didn't substain and injuries but i did describe to the pollice how he has pinned me down holdin the base ball bat to my head. He does have previous conviction but not for assult however i have reported him before for violence and threats. He was in prison on remand for what he done that nite but was released on bail after 6weeks
