I have received an email today inviting me to become a secret shopper. Sounds fun but no doubt has pit falls. Has anyone been a secret shopper and was it worth while?

Yes, I am one although I would be wary of any company that send out unsolicited emails to recruit shoppers!!

You'll never get rich doing it although I suppose it depends where you live and how many jobs are available.
Did you ask to become one or did teh request come out of the blue?
Have they asked you for any money or asked for your mobile number?
I requested to be one with a well known reputable company and it has been fine. But you won't make a fortune!

It was an unsolicited email Factor30 and they haven't asked for any money, only my name, address and telephone number.
Mobile number? If so, it's worth checking the small print as you may be signing up to receive texts/images/something at 3 a go.
Hope it works out, but I'm always wary of unsolicited emails.
interesting but can someone tell me what a secret shopper is?? excuse my ignorance

pinktwink1 It is someone who goes into a shop to purchase goods and assesses the quality of service given.
But shaking....who decides what you buy, and who pays for it?
And on what grounds did they choose you?
Question Author
What you buy would depend on the market research that was being carried out., you get to keep the goods bought with their money.
